The “undiscovered country” to which Hamlet was referring was death, or more to the point, the afterlife. But it’s also an apt description of the future - unknown, open, waiting for us.
I have a real love/hate relationship with Fan Art. There’s just so much work out there right now that’s derivative of other creators’ worlds and characters. It’s getting out of hand; nearly 4/5 of my “art feeds” are images of Star Wars, Mario mash-ups, or the like (there’s original work in those feeds to; maybe that’s for another post?)
What’s worse is that I am just as guilty! Heck, I just posted that Slytherin drawing last weekend! I mean, I get it; I understand why Fan Work is such an allure.
I guess I just want to get excited about NEW characters, exploring NEW worlds I haven’t visited 100x in my childhood.
